For a class I’m taking, we’re in charge of doing our own activist projects. I’ve decided to help a feminist group pull off Global Women’s Health Action Day. I’m going to do my best to spread information about health issues that affect women. What sucks is that this is really binary; I feel like there is no room for addressing people who aren’t women but would still benefit from learning more about their health. I have to write a proposal about this project. Is it wrong of me to address that in a proposal as an obstacle, that the gender binary stressed on this day could present as a turn-off to trans* individuals?
